The Khareef Festival
The khareef season in Salalah starts in July and continues until September. As well as providing some respite from the hot and humid conditions suffered by the rest of the Gulf, this pretty Omani city hosts performances of poetry, dance and theatre, as well as events aimed at families. The landscape during the rainy season looks stunning – the rain clouds are lower than usual and the views are particularly epic.
